The cylindric body is made in EPDM elastomer and contains two flanged inserts in carbon steel. Drilling connection is according   PN 16. Starting from DN 80 the flanged inserts have inner limit rods made in carbon steel: their scope is to withstand pressure thrust preventing joint extension and avoiding any possible damage to the joint. The joint VR has no metal parts in contact with the fluid conveyed and between mating flanges: only rubber.

Max working steady temperature: + 100 °C
 
VR rubber connectors must not be used to absorb axial or lateral movements, large amplitude vibrations, torsions or angular movement. It must always be installed between two fixed points without any initial tension.
 
No additional gaskets are required.
